Separation & Renewal: Gallery Talk with the Artist Koby Sibony
Dates & Times
Just before the move to a new studio, Koby Sibony, an international iron wire artist, invites you to say goodbye with him to his home studio, just before the opening of his new studio in Kibbutz Lohamei HaGeta’ot.
Koby says, “In 2012, I opened my studio in an abandoned building established in the late fifties by members of the kibbutz, and about 12 years ago I brought it back to life! I established the studio right after I finished my degree in industrial design in Bezalel, with the great help of my family, and I spent endless hours of creation, research, doing, learning, exciting meetings, solitude, concentration, joy, endless challenges and above all, the fulfillment of dreams! Thousands of people visited me over the last 12 years and everyone left with something — physical, spiritual, emotional, or simply with a smile! I’m moving to a new studio, in a new structure that will bring innovations and changes. I’m ready for the change and to start this fresh chapter!”
As part of the Spring Festival, Koby invites you to say goodbye to the memories in the studio that accompanied him over the years in a gallery talk and a personal story with the artist.
