Natural & Artistic Pharmacy Workshop — An Experience of Japanese Knowledge, Creativity & Connection to Nature
Dates & Times
Thursday, May 22, 10 am, Hasi Fiber Studio
A unique collaboration in honor of the Spring Festival between Tamara Kuperstein from Tamara Herbs and artist Hasi Naveh. A creative spring morning event at the Hasi Fiber Studio in Bustan HaGalil combines the wisdom of medicinal herbs and local Japanese art!
We will begin the meeting with Tamara demonstrating how to concoct a natural medicinal ointment and calendula iodine—natural solutions for first aid. We will also learn about the calendula plant, a medicinal plant with practical uses in everyday life.
After that, we will get down to the design work, led by Hasi. We will sew our first Japanese-style bag in a personal design – Azuma Bukuro, a private cotton fabric bag for wrapping, storing, and preserving the medicinal herbs and preparations you have prepared yourself!
At the end of the workshop, we will receive a detailed explanation of preparing the products at home, calendula antiseptic ointment, and calendula iodine for disinfection inside the bag we created.
A unique experience of basic knowledge, creativity, and connection to nature.
