You are invited to an evening of flavors and inspiring stories from two special and exciting women:
Safta (grandma) Maha, a cook and hostess from the Druze village of Hurfeish, is hosted at the home of pastry chef Ya’arit Stern (owner of Ya’arit – Taste of Art) in the village of Moreshet in Misgav.
We will begin the evening with a shared experience of rolling Safta Maha’s famous grape leaves, then we will hear their inspiring personal story and connection to food. Finally, we will gather at the table for a shared meal that includes grape leaves, dishes from Maha’s kitchen, and desserts made by Yaarit.
Kosher Meal Menu:
Main Dishes from Safta Maha: Tabbouleh Salad, Cabbage and Vegetable Salad, Homemade Hummus, Stuffed Grape Leaves + Zucchini, Stuffed Cabbage, Mujaddara, Shulbato, Mansaf with Veal and Almonds, Meatballs and Vegetables.
Desserts by Ya’arit: Pavlova, Chocolate Mousse on a Brownie Base, Malabi
