Worlds of Taste & Imagination: Chocolate, Iron Wire & Two Creators
Dates & Times
Friday, May 23, 10 am – 3 pm, Kibbutz Lohamei HaGeta’ot
The Spring Festival invites you to a one-time, colorful, personal, and surprising encounter between two inspiring Galilean artists.
Dr. Shlomit Zamir, a materials engineer who worked for many years in senior positions at Rafael and managed dozens of people, fell ill with cancer one day and decided to leave everything behind and fulfill her dream of working with another material – chocolate. The chocolatier and owner of the Odette Chocolate Boutique will tell her exciting story, accompanied by delicious chocolate tastings.
Koby Sibony from Kibbutz Lohamei HaGeta’ot, a graduate of the Industrial Design Department at the Bezalel Jerusalem Academy of Art and Design, is an artist who has focused on diverse works based on iron wires for 25 years.
During the event, you will be invited to enter the world of the two, who will reveal the story of their journey, where it all began, how inspiration is created, and how raw material turns into emotion.
You can also taste and purchase handmade pralines, chocolate candies on a stick, kits for making homemade chocolate, and many more sweet surprises made by Shlomit, while taking a guided tour by Koby of the magnificent studio, which contains a huge selection of his works in iron wire.
