“Her Spring” – An Inspiring Evening at the International Dance Village in Kibbutz Ga’atonThu May 14
Dates & Times
The Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company is opening spring with an unforgettable evening at the International Dance Village in Kibbutz Ga’aton. “Her Spring“, a one-off event to be held as part of the Spring Festival, will open just before sunset with a glass of cava to celebrate spring and hopefully bring a fresh breeze of change.
This will be followed by a guided tour of the Dance Village, which includes an intimate visit to the rehearsal rooms and watching the dancers at work, followed by a short and inspiring film about the life of the company’s founder, Yehudit Arnon, an Auschwitz survivor who dedicated her life to dance.
After a short coffee break, we will gather in the Zachary Hall to watch Aide-Mémoire, Rami Be’er’s iconic work, considered a milestone in the history of Israeli dance and marking three decades since its premiere.
This is a rare opportunity to encounter a piece that touches on memory, trauma, and the healing power of movement, and the moving story of Yehudit Arnon who chose to dance.
On the Program:
