Organ DuetSat May 16

Yuvalim in Misgav is home to the only organ workshop of its kind in Israel ― a workshop and visitor center where organs of various sizes are located, built by the late Gideon Shamir.

On the occasion of the Western Galilee Now Spring Festival, Uri Shani, the workshop owner, invites you to a rare and exciting musical encounter ― a duet of two organs, together with musician Amit Barkan, who teaches at the Yuvalim Music House.

Uri and Amit will play on two medium-sized organs of world standard. Uri will explain about the organ, how it works and the story behind it, and about the founder of the workshop Gideon Shamir.
Among the works that will be played:

• Bach’s Prelude
• Bach’s Arioso
• Albinoni’s Adagio
• Mendelssohn’s Wedding March
